Biography

I was born in Kassel/ Germany in June 1960.

I grew up in a quite creative family. My father, as an architect, introduced me to some drawing techniques and my mother to colors and composition.

I studied medicine and became an urologist. In my free time I experimented with painting. During my travels I got inspired.I am influenced by Mark Rothko,Barnett Newman and Josef Albers.

With my husband and our two daughters we continued travelling and left Germany to live five years in Norway, where I started to study painting more intensely.

In Norway I had some exhibitions. Some of my paintings went to private collections and I also created several pieces for Norwegian and International companies.

Since January 2002 we are living in Hampton,Melbourne.

Statement

I work in a non provocative abstract style aiming for pleasure and harmony.I
would like the viewer feel good and content while looking at my
paintings,which doesn't mean,he/she should stop thinking.In contrary,I love
to make people think upon my work but more for the reason to discover than
to be provoked,offended or embarrassed.
I believe in the mathematical term of the " golden section",a law of
achieving harmonious proportions by dividing a line in a certain way. This
law was already used by ancient artists to make the picture more pleasing to
the eye.And this law influences my work by striving for harmony and balance
