Biography I'm a digital artist living and working on the Suffolk coast in the UK, an area of outstanding natural beauty, with long, deserted shingle beaches, heaths and forest. The landscape around me has had a strong influence on the work that I create, especially the emptiness of the seashore in winter with just a few gulls for company...
I have been digitally creating artwork for some time and now that print technology has moved on it is possible to export the finished artworks to large scale canvases, which finally do the images justice.
Statement I have recently discovered fractal art, and when I start work on an image I never quite know how it will finish up, in fact several finished works have been worked on a second, third or even fourth time to give very different results from the first image!
With my photographic work I am fascinated by things that have been overlooked and neglected, that are invisible to the naked eye - as with infrared photography - or that just catch my eye and cry out to be captured! I also use photoshop to create digital abstract work inspired by the world around me. | |
